Ascension Island – A Drop in the Ocean? plus AGM

Thursday 11th January

AGM (7pm) followed by an illustrated talk by Martin Young, Local Plantsman and former Ascension Island resident, exploring the fascinating history, geography, plants & animals of this unique island and its connections with Darwin, Hooker & Napoleon Bonaparte. 
 
Meetings are held in the The Dorford Centre, Dorchester, and consist of a lecture or slide show, with the added attractions of refreshments, members' plant sales and a plant identification table. AGM at 7pm followed by meeting at 7.30pm.
 
Visitors welcome (£2.50, students £1.00 at the door) PH members free.
