Gloucestershire Group

Gloucestershire

The Gloucestershire Group has regular monthly meetings throughout the year to which visitors are always welcome. The winter meetings are usually devoted to lectures by visiting speakers and the summer meetings are a mixture of garden visits, social evenings and coach outings.

The winter lecture meetings are held at Shurdington Social Centre, just off the A46 south of Cheltenham (see map below).

Winter meetings are held on Saturday afternoons. Before the start of the meeting there are plant stalls with plants for sale. The meetings proper start at 2.00pm with a short discussion of any plants brought along by our members for the interest of others. Then follows the lecture, usually illustrated by slides and sometimes with plants. At the end of the lecture tea and biscuits are served.

If for any reason you find it difficult to attend any of our events and would like a lift, please telephone Toby Jarvis on 01235 851896.
