We have an outstanding programme of events for this year and we will highlight these for you on the Events pages in due course, as the new web-site develops. Here are a couple to start with.
GRAND PLANT FAIR. Always on the early May Bank Holiday Monday. Our main fund raising event of the year, now the most prestigious Plant Fair in Hampshire, held in conjunction with Longstock Park Nursery and attended by over 20 specialist nurseries. Includes a members’ plant stall, hog roast, teas, beer tent, & specialist craft stalls. Ample free parking. Please bring clearly labelled plants for sales table. Longstock Nursery open all day.
Event Location: SO20 6EH. Longstock is signposted from Stockbridge: turn R at north end of the High Street. From all directions, follow AA signs. Free to Plant Heritage members, John Lewis employees and Children. £4 to general public. Open 10am – 4pm.
In addition to the Spring Plant Fair, we also run a smaller event on the first Sunday in September. This, as in previous years, will be held at Meon Orchard. In addition to being able to visit a fascinating garden, we will be organising a number of plant stalls, where specialist nurseries will be offering some of their most interesting plants. If you were unable to attend last year, the pictures should give you an idea of the event. Cream Teas and cakes will be served all afternoon. Open 2pm to 6pm, under the National Garden Scheme, the event is free to Plant Heritage members and children. Members of the public and members guests £3.50.
