WELCOME TO THE HERTS AND BEDS AREA OF PLANT HERITAGE
We are one of the smaller NCCPG groups, but we have an enthusiastic membership and an eclectic mix of National Plant Collections®. Visitors from other groups and non-members are made very welcome at our events. We are very proud of our cakes.
We run a programme of talks, garden visits and social events. Our talks take place at
Verulamium Roman Museum, St. Michael's Street, St. Albans. Talks usually last about an hour, followed by refreshments and a chance to talk to the speaker and local members afterwards. Please look at our events list for a comprehensive list of our 2012 programme.
Our
Annual Plant Sale is back at Luton Hoo Walled Garden, on Saturday 14th April from 11.00am to 3.00pm. The garden is in the process of being restored to its former glory and is being brought back into cultivation. We hope that guided tours will be available. This is a rare opportunity to see an historic garden which is only occasionally open to the public. We are expecting to welcome several specialist nurseries.
