Fiona Crumley, the head gardener has kindly agreed to allow us to carry on the good work we did last year tidying up the borders in the Italianate garden and Camellia shrubbery as well as having a chance to enjoy the Camellia Festival. She will take us into the Glasshouse once the public have left at the end of the day to enjoy the spectacle of the camellias in full bloom so why not join us, its fun, good exercise and very rewarding!

Mel Watson has arranged a 2 hour tour of The Linnean Society, Burlington House on Piccadilly which begins at 3pm with an introductory talk in the Meeting room surrounded by portraits of Linneaus, Darwin and Wallace. We will learn about the history of the Society and the life of Carl Linnaeus and enjoy viewing some of the many treasures held in their Linnaean Collections Store and Library.

Janet Wright has arranged a coach trip to visit Waterperry Gardens, Oxford, and then on to Mrs Pumphrey's private garden to see national collections of brunnera and omphaloides. The cost is £32 per person. The visit starts from and returns to Victoria Station.
