North Wales Group

North Wales

The North Wales Group of Plant Heritage covers the counties of Ynys Mon/ Anglesey, Gwynedd, Sir Conwy/Conwy County Borough, Sir Ddimbych/Denbighshire, Sir Fflint/Flintshire and Sir Wrecsam/Wrexham County.

The meeting venues have moved around over the years but tend to be central to the north mainland coast, which is towards the eastern side of the full group area. We are now at the Rhuddlan Community Centre, Parliament Street, Rhuddlan (opposite Rhuddlan car park), near Rhyl, LL18 5AW. Use either Junction 24 (from the west) or 27 (from the east) on A55.

Throughout the year there are monthly talks (evenings) and garden visits (evenings and occasional Saturdays or Sundays). In recent years we have added a Potato Day on a Saturday morning when you can come along and buy a very wide range of seed potatoes, with a selection of onion and shallot sets, garlic bulbs and a wide range of vegetable seeds.

We do not produce a group newsletter anymore, but the new programme each year is sent out with the officer election material around Christmas time.
