Shropshire
The Shropshire group of Plant Heritage has over a hundred members in a geographically widespread area - Shropshire is large and underpopulated, and has a large range of habitats. It is no surprise, therefore, to find many enthusiasts and also many specialists.
The group hosts an impressive range of collections - some 28 genera. The linked listing on the main webpages provides details of the genera and holders. Some people manage more than one collection.
PH always welcomes new members, and the Shropshire group would like to encourage anyone in the area who has an interest in plant conservation to join the group. You will get to meet both enthusiasts and specialists and you may even end up hosting your own collection one day.
If you have recently moved to the area and would like to continue an existing involvement in PH then please contact the membership secretary, or just turn up to our next meeting and make yourself known to a member of the Committee.
