Despite the ravages of bitter winter and unseasonable spring, Plant Heritage Collection Holders once again triumphed at Chelsea with sumptuous displays.
Star of the Show was Crug Farm Plants who scooped The President's Award for their stunning display of plants culled from a lifetime of collecting by Sue and Bleddyn Wynn Jones in exotic climes. They also captured a Gold medal, as did Bowden Hostas, David Austin Roses, Dibleys Nurseries (
Streptocarpus),

Kelways Plants (
Paeonia), Knoll Gardens (
Pennisetum), Peter Beales Roses, Plantagogo (
Heuchera, x Heucherella & Tiarella), Raymond Evison Clematis and Rhodes & Rockliffe (
Begonia).
The medal haul was completed with 5 Silver Gilts and 3 Silver: Claire Austin Hardy Plants (
Iris & Paeonia), Downderry Nursery (
Lavendula), Fibrex Nurseries (
Pelargonium), The Botanic Nursery (
Digitalis), West Country Nurseries (Lupins); and Hoyland Plant Centre (
Agapanthus & Tulbaghia), Tynings Climbers (
Passiflora) and Winchester Growers (
Dahlia).
