Members Event at Borde Hill Garden Sussex

Historic House and Garden open in support of Plant Heritage

With lunch in the company of Roy Lancaster

Walk in the footsteps of some of our greatest Plant Hunters; such as Forrest, Wilson,
Kingdon Ward and Farrer and discover the hidden garden treasures at Borde Hill Garden
in West Sussex, celebrating its 50th Anniversary year in 2015.

This fabulous day will include lunch and a guided tour of Borde Hill Mansion dating from 1598 with the owners Mr and Mrs Stephenson Clarke.  Also, you will be able to read first hand some of the original documentation of early plant introductions.

Head Gardener, Andy Stevens, will take you around the Garden, which includes The Azalea Ring, the Rose & the Italian Gardens, sub-tropical dells and a number of ‘champion’ trees (from a total of 83 champion trees).

Event runs on Saturday June 6th from 11.00am – 4.00pm with coffee/tea on arrival
