Silverwood Challenge

Membership Administrator Gillian Spencer has embarked on a massive cycle ride to raise money for Plant Heritage and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Gillian was inspired to take on the challenge which involves cycling from London to Amsterdam, 300 miles in three days,  following a visit to the National Collection of Geranium nodosum 'Silverwood' last year where Joan Taylor had introduced a new cultivar in memory of her husband who died of Motor Neurone Disease.

Gillian will be embarking on the cycle ride in September and plans to split the money she raises  between the two charities.

She has set up fundraising pages on BT Donate and would be very grateful of any donations. She will be paying all the expenses for this trip so all money raised will go directly to the charities.
