Vistors to Surrey Group's Plant Fair at Denbies Vineyard were charmed by the beautiful setting and lovely weather. The Plant Heritage stand, selling plants grown and donated by members, raised £513, and a further £500 came from a levy on the takings of the nurseries selling plants at the Fair.
Visitors had an opportunity to taste a National Collection - RHS Wisley which is a National Collection holder of culinary rheum (Rhubarb) kindly donated cut rhubarb from the collection for sale.

Thanks to the Members of the Committee who worked so hard to make it a successful day and all the members who helped on the plant stand and donated plants to us.
If you weren’t able to go to Denbies, there is another opportunity to buy plants at the Ripley Plant Fair on Sunday 22 May from 10.00 to 3.00pm. This is being held at Ripley Village Hall, Portsmouth Road, Ripley, GU23 6AF and there will be about 13 nurseries attending as well as the Plant Heritage plant stand. As an added draw there will also be refreshments and homemade cakes. Volunteers to help with all this are very welcome!
