Legacies

Over the centuries, countless garden plants have been developed by British collectors & growers. This biodiversity is now at risk through changes in fashion and the retirement of growers; yet it may hold the key to new pharmaceutical drugs, homeopathic remedies, drought resistant plants and other characteristics vital for the future.

By making sure these plants remain in cultivation, we ensure that this essential biodiversity continues to be available to the coming generations of plant breeders, medical researchers and gardeners.

Plant Heritage has received a number of legacies over the years which have made a considerable impression on our core funds, we are so very thankful to those that remember us in their Will.

I ask as ‘a gentle reminder’, once you have taken into account your family and friends, to add a gift to Plant Heritage.  By adding a gift in your Will, you help continue our work to conserve cultivated plants for the benefit of our children and grandchildren.

We thank those who have already made a gift in their will to  Plant Heritage. Please contact Jo on 01483 447540 or  joannaj@plantheritage.org.uk if you require any further help.
