Local Group events

Our network of Local Groups organise a range of social activities for members to enjoy:

  • Meet like-minded people and learn new things at talks & workshops.
  • Buy rare and unuusual plants at specialist plant fairs.
  • Visit beautiful gardens, nurseries and National Plant Collections.

National AGM

Every year one of our Local Groups will host the National AGM. The fun-packed itinerary includes an update from the Chief Executive and Chair, interesting talks from Collection Holders, visits to gardens, the Plant Exchange and much more!

Annual Plant Exchange – FREE to members!

Members and Collection Holders submit lists of rare and unusual plants they have to offer and also request plants which are difficult to obtain or which have disappeared from the horticulture trade. Members can then bid for the plants offered and they are exchanged for free at our National AGM each year.

Read this blog about taking part in the Plant Exchange from one of our staff bloggers and member of the Surrey Group, Gillian Spencer

Volunteering at Flower Shows

Many of our members enjoy volunteering to help us at shows each year, including working on the cloakroom at Chelsea Flower Show and helping to raise money at our popular Seed Shop at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
