Josh Egan-Wyer

Josh is the Nursery Stock & Protected Crops Supervisor at Pershore College and he looks after the National Plant Collection of Penstemon (pre-1995 cvs.) there.

"I joined Plant Heritage after receiving a prize from my local group through my college for taking an interest in plant collections and conservation.

I started attending local meetings as I wanted to know more about how to manage the Collections I look after through my job and get more information on plant conservation. I've since participated in the Plant Exchange and become a Plant Guardian which have been the best bits of my membership.

I've had some really unusual plants from the Plant Exchange that I wouldn't have got from any nursery or plant sale! And then registering as a Plant Guardian for them if they're 'Threatened in Cultivation' gives me a sense of doing my little (and very easy!) bit for garden plant conservation."
