Plant Guardians

Fragaria Amos Perry's Red

Description:
This plant came to light during research for the Plant Heritage (NCCPG) display at Chelsea Flower Show in 2005. A granddaughter of Amos Perry had received the plant from his garden in Essex and continued to grow it at her home in Llandrindod Wells. Research for the display was undertaken by a great niece of Amos Perry who has continued to grow and share this plant through the annual Plant Exchange. An ornamental strawberry with pink to red flowers, it has not been known to set fruit.
