Ajuga reptans ‘Rowden Royal Purple’


Description:

The Rowden Gardens plant nursery was established in 1982 by John & Galen Carter and developed four National Collections. There are four known Ajuga with the Rowden prefix: ‘R. Amethyst’; ‘R. Blue Mist’; & ‘R. Appleblossom'. ‘R. Royal Purple’ was cited in their 2006 catalogue as 'brand new colour break' raised at Rowden with 'bronzed green leaves overtopped with good sized spires of a real royal purple colour. 8ins.' The site continues as a plant nursery under the name of Tor Garden Plants.
