The Collection of Bourbon Roses is cared for by Joan Lewis wife of the late Victor Lewis.
Who sadly died in 2006, she tends the garden with the same love and passion as did her husband Vic inspired by the wealth of knowledge he left behind .
The collection is held at the garden at Elms Farm and covers over two and a half acres with many beautiful and unusual specimen trees, with many rose beds containing over 150 varieties of Bourbon roses.
Many were planted years ago and some quite recently , some of which are hard to source here in the UK.
There is a walled garden , a large natural pond which is alive with ducks and moorhens and has an interesting collection of poultry.
