A very diverse group of trees and shrubs with over 100 species,
About half of these are endemic to New Zealand.
Others are from Australia, Hawaii, Borneo  and the Pacific Islands
The collection is mainly of Australian and New Zealand species  grown at County Park Nursery  along with many varieties  of 100 different plants.
Most of these are small leaved prostate, bushy or erect shrubs and are fully hardy
Some of the larger leaved species  including  forms of
C. Robusta and C. Cunninghamii   are also Hardy, some forms of  C. Repens  and C. Grandifolia  are hardy down to  minus 6 C.
Coprosma   flowers are small and of no  little or no garden value, but the congested tangle of twiggy branches and interesting colourful  fruits of the small leaved species and glossy and variegated leaves of others make this a worthy group  to cultivate.
