aucheri is in honour of the French collector P.M.R. Aucher-Eloy
(1792-1839)
Herbaceous perennial 30-60 cm. Basal leaves narrowly ovate
to oblong, rarely lanceolate-linear, cordate or almost truncate
at base, 6-12 × 2-3 cm; petiole to 12 cm. Stem leaves
shortly petiolate, truncate to cuneate. Three to six distant
whorls per simple or branched stem, 5-8 flowered. Bracteoles
13-18 mm, linear, shortly stellate-tomentose. Calyx 16-20
mm narrowly funnel shaped with stellate hairs to 16 mm,
teeth unequal. Corolla ±25 mm, yellow.
