This
sorbus was introduced to Britain in the 1930s. It is a tree
of two seasons, one in the spring with the lovely pink-tinted
flowers and one in the Autumn when the leaves are gone and
the glorious white fruits shine out. As its name implies it
comes from Kashmir and the western Himalayas. The fruits do
not seem to be eaten by the birds so we are left to enjoy
them till they drop. It comes true from seed. (Rosaceae family)
