Ribes odoratum (Grossulariaceae
family) is a an arching shrub to 8 feet. It is a native
of the USA and often sold by Nurseries as Ribes aureum
which is however, almost glabrous. The flowers have
a spicy fragrance and it can be detected right across the
garden late in the evening.
