Kalanchoe blossfeldiana
(Crassulaceae family) hails from Madagascar and so is a houseplant
in the UK requiring a minimum of 10ºC/50ºF. Many
hybrids have been produced with pink, red and yellow flowers.
Its leaves are succulent. It has a long flowering time in
the winter and is very cheerful at this time of year.
