Talk: ‘Shere magic – how to manage a vineyard’ by Alex Valsecchi, manager of the organic, biodynamic Albury Vineyard.
The manager of the biodynamic Albury Vineyard in Shere, Alex will talk about how to manage a vineyard (just in case you want to start your own or work for one of the 700 now in the UK) and how she got where she is today. Alex did her Masters in horticulture at the University of Milan in 1996, followed by several years in vineyards in Italy and New Zealand. She then joined RHS Wisley and was responsible for the orchard, nursery, model fruit area and the vineyard, which she planted. She joined Albury in 2010.
