National Members' Weekend 2019 and AGM - Sussex Group

Friday - Sunday, 3rd - 5th May 2019

The Sussex group looks forward to welcoming you to the 2019 National Members' Weekend and AGM. We have first-class speakers to inspire you and gardens to impress. We have so many wonderful gardens that this weekend could tempt you to consider extending your visit.

Friday 3rd May 2019

Noon onwards: Visit, under your own steam, National Trust Standen House. Or, for the plant enthusiast, there is Wakehurst.

2pm - 6pm: Arrival at hotel

7pm: Dinner followed with a talk by Stephen Herrington, the head gardener at Nymans gardens

Saturday 4th May 2019

9am: Welcome and introductions

9.15am: Andrew Gaunt, the Hedychium collection holder and pests and diseases expert from the Animal and Plant Health Agency

9.45am: Talk (TBA)

10.30am: Tea and coffee

10.45am: AGM

Noon: Buffet Lunch

1pm: A visit to either Borde Hill Garden or Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens

5.30pm: Depart for hotel

7pm: Conference dinner with after dinner speaker, Tom Hart Dyke of Lullingstone Castle and the World Garden in Kent

Sunday 5th May 2019

Depart from hotel after breakfast. Optional garden visits.
