PH Grampian & Tayside Spring Lecture – Saturday 24th March 2018

G&T members and guests packed the Education Centre at The University of Dundee Botanic Garden on Saturday 24th March for an enthralling talk by Jim Jermyn, Property Manager and Head Gardener at Branklyn Garden in Perth.

An enthusiastic audience was treated to a horticultural feast of delights as Jim guided us through from the beginnings of the garden in the 1920’s, it’s development by Dorothy and John Renton and the magnificent plant collection - many the result of seed collected by plant hunters in the early part of the 20th century.  Present day challenges and new development projects continue to ensure that this gem of a garden will still be around for the next 100 years.
