North West

Welcome to the North West Group. Our area covers Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. We support 25 National Plant Collections in a variety of locations from private gardens to those open to the public.

Throughout the year we aim to have workshops, occasional visits to collections, and trips to interesting gardens or nurseries. We also have plant stalls at a range of events including NGS open days and an annual sale at Holehird Gardens, Windermere. This year we are holding a Members and Friends Day which will include demonstrations, garden tour and talks on a range of plant related topics.

Members receive twice-yearly copies of the Plant Heritage magazine from the National Office and our own local journals. Members can also participate in the Plant Exchange scheme, which offers plants rarely - if ever - found in nurseries and also become involved in the Plant Guardian Scheme.

We welcome new members of all age groups and levels of experience who are interested in supporting the conservation of gardens and garden plants. Why not come along to one of our events and find out more?
