 Avondale Nursery National Collections

Avondale Nursery is National Collection Holder for three plant families: Anemone nemorosa, Sanguisorba and Symphyotrichum (Aster) novae-angliae. Our Wood Anemones are stunning in late March and April, and can be seen in containers as they come into flower. Our Sanguisorbas are blooming in our well-labelled 'Library Garden' throughout the summer, and over 50 varieties of Michaelmas Daisies are on show in September. Entry to the garden is free, except for NGS open days, and most plants in the collections are available to buy in the nursery. Our website includes a Collections Page packed with information and photos dedicated to all of our collections.
