Alan Titchmarsh invites all to Plant Heritage’s summer garden party at Loseley Park

Celebrity gardener Alan Titchmarsh is inviting all gardening enthusiasts to come along to support Plant Heritage’s summer garden party at Loseley Park in Surrey and hear about his love of plants.

Gardener, novelist and presenter Alan, who is also the President of the plant conservation charity Plant Heritage, will share his expertise and love for all things horticultural at the historic Loseley Park, near Guildford, on Tuesday 14th June.

The all-day event (10:30 to 16:00) will include a private tour of the Elizabethan house and walled gardens, a silent plant auction, coffee on arrival and a two course lunch in the Tithe Barn, with an after-lunch talk by Alan. People attending will also have the chance to relax and enjoy the grounds, garden and house at their own leisure after lunch.

Sarah Quarterman, CEO at Plant Heritage said: “Alan is really passionate about the importance of the conservation work that we do here at Plant Heritage, so it is a real pleasure that he is attending and supporting our summer garden party. We’re looking forward to giving him a warm welcome to Loseley Park and listening to what I’m sure will be a fascinating talk. I can’t think of a better way to spend a summer’s day than at our summer garden party so I urge all those interested in attending to buy their tickets now to avoid disappointment”.

Mr Alan Titchmarsh MBE said: "I have always loved Surrey and it is a great pleasure to be visiting to support a particularly special charity, which is close to my heart. As the President of Plant Heritage, I have the pleasure of meeting many people with the same passion as me – to help preserve and protect garden plants for future generations to come. I hope to see many gardening enthusiasts at Loseley Park on the 14th June”.

People can purchase tickets in advance by telephoning 01483 447540 or emailing Tickets are priced at £59 for Plant Heritage members, £64 for non-members and £49 for Plant Heritage Friends and Life Members.
