London Group win Gold at RHS London Spring Fair

The Plant Heritage London Group won a Gold Award for their display “Seasonal plants from the National Plant Collections” at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) London Early Spring Plant Fair which took place on 16th and 17th February in Vincent Square, London.

The award-winning stand was made up of colourful stems of Hamamelis (Witch Hazel), Magnolia, Prunus and Mahonia. from prestigious gardens such as Buckingham Palace, Myddelton House, The Royal Parks, Isabella Plantation and Regents Park, contrasted by bowls of Camellia flowers from Chiswick House. Members of the London Group also generously donated plants from their own gardens to enhance the display.

Congratuations to the London Group and also to our other Collection Holders who won awards for their displays at the show. Dibleys Nurseries won Gold for their display which featured plants from their new National Plant Collection of Petrocosmea. Broadleigh Gardens, Fibrex Nurseries, Hoyland Plant Centre, Ottershaw Cacti, The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and W & S Lockyer were all awarded Silver-Gilt and a Silver award for The Botanic Nursery.
