Canna 'Chou Chou'

Canna ‘Chouchou’ has been registered in our Plant Guardian scheme by a primary school in Hampshire. The plants were donated to the school by Keith Hayward, National Collection holder of Canna. The pupils in the school have been learning how to propagate the plants, observing their growth and how the seasons affect them. The Cannas have bloomed beautifully all summer. As part of their curriculum the pupils have potted up 25 side shoots to share during the coming year. Visitors to the school have been fascinated with the children’s passion to preserve and conserve threatened plants for future generations.
