Plant Heritage has always had a serious interest in horticultural and botanical education. The growing shortage of skilled individuals to be the taxonomists, botanists, herbarium staff and propagators of the future is of serious concern to the future of plant conservation in the UK.
- The Growing Heritage Action Plan for the conservation of cultivated plants arose out of a conference held by the RHS, Plant Heritage and other bodies concerned about the future of garden plants.
