Plantsman's garden created from a disused chalk pit with wide range of plants many from original collections in China. Site situated on hillside, wheelchair access possible in level areas of garden.
Best time to view
Highdown is an early garden on the South Downs. Spring bulbs followed by tree paeonies are a highlight of the collection and follow in succession through April, May, and June, but there is something of inerest to see every month.
